UNSW Gamified Lead Gen
Over the past several quarters, UNSW has been experiencing a decline in lead capture for their domestic undergraduate and postgraduate markets. Traditional methods that once yielded consistent results now seem less potent. Our challenge was to reimagine a familiar lead capture form into a more engaging experience for users with a more fruitful outcome for UNSW.

The Idea
Choosing the right course can be a daunting decision for potential university students. Many are naturally curious and want to find a path that fits their personality and interests. To support this, we created an interactive and playful online quiz that uses quirky, imaginative, and hypothetical questions. The quiz was designed to surprise students with something amusing or unexpected about themselves while helping them explore study areas that align with their unique traits.


We tested the idea with users to validate it and iterated quickly through rapid prototyping. The quiz was continually refined using guidance from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. By crafting hypothetical questions, we were able to capture responses that revealed key aspects of a student’s personality. These insights allowed us to match each personality type with a relevant area of study and corresponding courses.
To further align the experience with the university brand, each answer included a tailored proof point that highlighted a strength or offering from the university. This made the quiz both fun and informative.
